You know how you used to pretend to be a superhero when you were a kid? Towel cape and all? Bubba’s has now lived out our superhero fantasy. Well, we didn’t exactly fly around and save the world but we did get to help transform athletes into comic book heroes through animation. Close enough!
We were brought on by Live Star Entertainment to team up with Marvel and ESPN Films to help breathe life into comic book character favorites for the short film series “1 of 1: Origins”. The series digs deep into the origin stories of some of the world’s most successful athletes while also exploring the connections between these elite athletes and Marvel superheroes such as Spider-Man, Black Widow and Captain America. The series was directed by Emmy award-winning director/producer Eric Drath (30 for 30 “No Mas”, Assault In The Ring) and features Colin Kaepernick, Brandi Chastain, Bryce Harper, Dwight Howard, Amy Purdy, Phil Mickelson, Danica Patrick and Tony Hawk.
