SUPER CRISPY CRINKLE CUT FRIES LAMB WESTON

When Grown in Idaho set out to launch their Super Crispy Crinkle Cut Fries, they weren’t looking for ordinary. They were aiming for extraordinary. Agency partner EHY, brought us in to craft a visually striking 30-second spot that would give their fries some larger-than-life presence. Director and DP Steven Moses, with his uncanny eye for cinematic texture, helped make the fries the clear focus. The result is a slow-motion spot with a cinematic trailer feel.

WHY THEY CALLED

Lamb Weston didn’t just want a product shot. They wanted an epic film. The brief was bold: make 30 seconds feel like a movie trailer for the most craveable fries on Earth. The creative challenge centered on capturing the ultimate fry snap in stunning slow motion, crisp, clean, and dramatically oversized for maximum appetite appeal.

THE CHALLENGE

Our main hurdle was no small fry. We had to achieve a perfect snap of a crinkle-cut fry in half, a feat that proved as challenging as it was crucial. This task required two weeks of intense research and development, experimenting with various rigs to capture that pivotal moment.

HOW WE DID IT

Over two weeks, we built and tested practical rigs to record a clean, dramatic fry snap. Director/DP Steven Moses treated the fries like larger-than-life subjects, using motion-control robotics, macro lenses, and a custom fry-splitting rig to capture each crinkle cut with precise timing. The result is a series of inviting, slow-motion visuals that showcase the fries at their crisp best.

We delivered a 30-second spot packed with slow-motion close-ups and crave-inducing textures. From rig-built practical effects to Steven’s arresting compositions, the final film captured the fry in crisp, oversize detail.
