Working with Evan Naka on this mixed media spot for their Genesis boots was a definite highlight of the year. And not to undersell it, but we love shoes here at Bubba’s LA. This project gave us an amazing opportunity to show that love through our other passion, 3D.

We were able to create the digital aspects of the spot with a mix of Substance Painter for the materials, Houdini for the simulations of the rock and cloth, C4D for lighting and animation, and After Effects for the text. The making of this allowed us to flex our 3D capabilities and show all the hard work that goes into making a hard working boot.
